1998年　　　　大阪府立看護大学卒業

　　　　　　　保健師・助産師・看護

　　　　　　　師免許を取得

阪和住吉総合病院、愛染橋病院、

大谷助産院に勤務

2009年　　　　ねね助産院を開業

Birth review of Meagan-san

Coming from USA, my husband and I didn't know much about birthing in Japan.

But when I got pregnant with my 2nd child, it was very important for us to have an unmedicated, low to no

intervention labor and delivery.

We wanted a similar experience to what we had with my first born in America

Unfortunately we had a hard time finding a birthplace in Japan that was not a hospital and without unnecessary medical interventions.

Many hospitals we looked into had many strict rules(like doctors performing ultrasounds at every visit).

We thought we would have to go back to America to give birth to our 2nd child.

Through some online searching, we contacted Brett Imura, familiar with Japanese midwives, and thats how we found Ashida-san.

At the first meeting, Ashida-san made us feel comfortable, yet she was straightforward with us.

She respected our values and did not enforce invasive medical procedures on us.I had a small complications my last week of pregnancy and she immediately visited my home and handled the situation extremely well. A few days later I gave birth to my 2nd child,a successful home birth(December 2018)

Ashida-san also followed up very actively post delivery.

When I found out I was pregnant again, the choice was very simple and easy who would be my midwife for 3rd child; I contacted Ashida-san right away.

And I had another successful home birth in June 2021,even with the difficult corona times.

Thank you Ashida-san for taking great care of me and my babies.

Because of you, I was able to have not 1,but 2 amazing home birth!

I will forever grateful.
